New birthday in the British royal family. A week after Prince Louis turned 4, his big sister Princess Charlotte is celebrating her 7th birthday on Monday. For the occasion, Prince William and Kate Middleton unveiled two new photos of their youngest daughter.
In these photos – taken this weekend by the Duchess of Cambridge in Norfolk, as reported Harper’s Bazaar – Princess Charlotte poses all smiles in a field of hyacinths wearing a blue sweater. On one of the pictures, she is accompanied by Orla, the English cocker spaniel of the royal family.
Fourth in line to the throne
Born May 2, 2015 in London, Princess Charlotte is fourth in line to the British throne, behind Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George, 8, the eldest son of William and Kate. The princely couple usually release new official photos of their children to celebrate their respective birthdays.
The British royal family is preparing to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, the festivities of which will take place from June 2 to 5. They will mark the 70-year reign of the 96-year-old British monarch.
