The veteran football player, Vassilis Konstantinou, spoke about the death of Martha Karagianni, who was his partner for years.
Speaking on the show “Good Morning Greece”, Vassilis Konstantinou, who was a couple with Martha Karagiannis for 12 years, mentioned his own Martha and the reasons why they never had a child.
He confessed: “Martha was the great love. We had mutual respect from the first moment we met.”
“Martha was an amazing girl. She was a star on the set. He loved the theater, he fell in love with the theater and the actors, I hadn’t heard a bad word about the last comparso either,” he added.
He said deeply moved: “I am dying for Martha, I love her very much. I got a lot of things from Martha.”
At the same time, he recalled some incidents from their life together: “When I met her, there had been a misunderstanding, I had been suspended for a year and I wanted to stop playing football. Martha would take me with her and take me to the pitch, take me to training, wait for her to pick me up from training and say “you can’t stop, you’re in love with football, you’re not in love with me” and so I continued playing football ».
He revealed that the fans of opposing teams often chanted slogans about Martha Karagiannis, wanting to annoy him.
He also mentioned the child they never had, saying that every time he discussed it with Martha, she replied: “To have a child, I have to stop the theater for 8 months and I can’t be off the stage for that long, away from the stage and the cinema”.
It is noted that Martha Karagianni had a baby girl who lived just three days after her marriage to the football player Mimi Stefanakos. The event had deeply marked her and as she had revealed at the time, she fell into depression.
“I will keep everything from Martha, but I will mainly keep her love for her family, for her home, for her company, which were mainly actors, and her kindness to everyone,” concluded Vassilis Konstantinou.
