Sitting on top of one of the world’s most famous nightclubs is a red windmill. Inside the windmill lies a secret room, hitherto unseen by the public. Next month, a select number of passengers will take a look inside, as Moulin Rouge collaborates with Airbnb to give a handful of guests the opportunity to stay inside the Parisian institution.
The windmill room has been transformed into a luxury boudoir, wrapped in pastel curtains and adorned with fin de siècle artifacts and atmospheric knots in the nightclub below by vintage costumes and perfume bottles on a paper stage. Meanwhile, for those who do not know, Airbnb is an American company that operates an online market for accommodation, mainly holiday rental apartments and tourist activities. Based in San Francisco, California, the platform is accessible through the website and mobile app.
