The European Commission has communicated to the Spanish Government that it will not receive any more money from the recovery fund until it puts into operation the new mechanism to control this expense and that it was among the objectives of the recovery plan that it promised to fulfill. According to the Bloomberg agency, citing a senior community official, the message was transmitted to him by the team of European officials who visited Madrid in September. Spain is the first country to receive European funds for the reconstruction of the economy after the pandemic, and the second in allocated funds. According to the schedule agreed with the Commission, the Government should have requested the third installment of funds before October, but it has not taken that step nor has it justified this delay. The implementation of the new auditing system should have been carried out before October. Spain has so far received some 30,000 million from the recovery fund. (There will be expansion)
