“Uninsured citizens register in the public structures for the personal doctor and where there are no public structures, in a private doctor”, clarified the Minister of Health, answering a question of 43 SYRIZA MPs about the access of the uninsured to the institution of the Personal Doctor.
SYRIZA MPs, led by MP of Magnesia Alexandros Meikopoulos, complained that uninsured citizens of Magnesia were excluded from the process when they tried to register with a private doctor contracted with EOPYY, speaking of “exclusion of uninsured citizens” from the possibility of registering with private providers doctors, contracted with the Organization.
In a related statement issued by Mr. Pleuris, he described the SYRIZA MPs as… illiterate, noting that with their question they are attacking the SYRIZA government: “The 43 SYRIZA MPs are either illiterate or, more likely, they are turning their question against SYRIZA government. In the matter of coverage of the uninsured by the personal physician, we have not changed anything from what was provided for by the institution of the Family Physician.
Uninsured citizens register in public structures for a personal doctor and where there are no public structures, a private doctor. Exactly the same as the law of SYRIZA and Mr. Xanthos was provided for in the law on the Personal Physician. The provisions are identical, reading them they will understand that with their question they are attacking the SYRIZA government”, concluded the Minister of Health.
