In the previous two games, you gave confidence to the defenders and kept a clean sheet. Tomorrow, what are the elements that Olympiacos must have in order to get a positive result?
“In the previous matches we did not concede a goal because there was very good communication. As for tomorrow’s game, we have understood since the beginning of the week how important it is. We treat every match like a final. Either the opponent is easy or difficult. Tomorrow we play in a warm home and against a very difficult opponent, who creates many opportunities in their games. The issue, however, is how we will manage to block them and not how they will play.”
What has Olympiacos improved in the last matches:
“The defense starts from the front, which is the first line. That’s what we’re trying to work on. This is what Mr. Mitchell is trying to get across to us. To help us in the tactical part. A lot of work has been done in a short time. We work hard to absorb what our coach tells us. The important thing is the balance in our lines. I think what has changed in the team is the chemistry.”
On whether he has earned the trust of his teammates and what he receives from his teammates:
“The most important thing is to gain the trust of your teammates. The rest comes second. That’s what I tried to do from the beginning. We have very good relations, in a short time. I felt from the first moment that I have been in the team for a long time. We are called to take one step at a time. A step which, however, should be stable.
Our job is not easy. I am also invited to put in a small stone to help the team. It is a team sport, it cannot be done by one player. I have the help of his teammates. As long as I can help my team, I will do it to the maximum. The goalkeeper’s job is beyond saves and many other things on the pitch.”
