The Prince and Princess of Wales made a new official appearance on Tuesday, following the end of royal mourning. After seven days of mourning following the funeral of the late monarch, the blue-blooded are returning to their daily lives and duties.
Prince William and Catherine Middleton appeared in the North Wales town of Holyhead and visited the local lifeguard station and spoke to the crew and volunteers.
Princess of Wales: Elegant and smiling after mourning for British royal family ends
In her first appearance since the end of royal mourning, Catherine Middleton parted with all black ensembles. She broke the monotony of black by wearing a red coat with gold buttons. For accessories she chose a black belt and a great pair of heels. The mother of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis completed her ensemble with a pair of subtle gold hoops.
Prince William appeared in a navy blue suit which he combined with brown suede shoes.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will then visit Holyhead Marina and the area’s cafe-bar where they will meet and chat with people from local businesses.
Prince William and Catherine Middleton’s schedule is very demanding, as they will then move to the city of Swansea in South West Wales. There they will visit the church of St Thomas where it offers important work and helps hundreds of people. In addition, they will have the opportunity to meet volunteers who work at the church’s food bank and charity Swansea Baby, which distributes essential items such as toiletries and clothing to vulnerable mothers.
