US inflation remains very high, but is slowing down a bit. In April over one year, it fell by 0.2 points, to reach 8.3%.
Inflation began to slow in April in the United States, due in particular to the drop inwhich had soared in March because of the war in Ukraine, but remains very high.
In April, over one year, inflation stood at 8.3%, against 8.5% in March, according to the consumer price index (CPI) published on Wednesday by the Labor Department. Over one month, the price increase was 0.3%, much less than the 1.2% increase recorded the previous month.
