In the summer of 2021, Manchester City took out the amount of 100 million euros from its coffers, in order to make Jack Grealis its own in the most expensive transfer to the “Island”.
However, the English ace has so far failed to justify the amount spent on his acquisition, scoring just six goals in 38 appearances for the “citizens” so far.
Jack Grealish scored his first goal in City’s comfortable win over Wolves on Saturday afternoon (17/9), with him admitting after the match that it’s great to be idolized by Pep Guardiola .

«I enjoyed my goal, it’s been a long time since I scored against West Ham in the final of last season. It’s nice to hear good words from Guardiola.
He’s very good to me and I have to thank him for giving me the chance to play with Wolves after my performance last Wednesday against Dortmund, which wasn’t the best,” Grealish initially said, before adding meaningfully:
“It is right that I receive criticism, I should have scored more goals and given more assists. All I can do now is score and get assists.
There will always be people talking about me because of the money given to buy me. If you look though my career, I haven’t scored many goals.
It’s something I want to add to my game and luckily with this team and in front of these fans, I can do that.”
«I should be scoring more, getting more assists.» 💙
