Kostas Galanopoulos returned to action in the AEK jersey against Panaitolikos and expressed his feelings.
Kostas Galanopoulos spoke to COSMOTE TV about his return to the courts with her AEK after 2021. In particular he said:
On the time he missed and how he felt on the field: “First of all I feel like I’ve done this interview… 100 times. Once again I am happy and optimistic about the future. I needed those competitive minutes with the first team as well, because I had also played with the B team. I am very happy that my return to the first team was combined with the victory, which we needed very much.”
On how it feels: “I have a very clear picture. Essentially I had the exact same surgery, except now I had my ligament repaired as well. I feel completely different. Stronger. I’m good on my feet. It definitely takes time, because you have lost 1.5 years. And it’s not that you’re injured, it’s that you don’t step on his foot! I am at the best point of this injury, because it has been bothering me for two years. But I am optimistic about the future.”
For AEK’s regular game: “I wasn’t in the training but I learned what was going on and watched the training sessions. We work very hard on the tension. In retrieving the ball. I like the pressure and the quick recovery of the ball. Something very good will be made. It definitely takes time. It’s a big change. Time faith and patience. Many new players and the new team have arrived.”
For the new stadium that AEK is ready to enter? “To be honest I thought I would have been in much earlier. It was a personal bet. It hurts not to play, but it would hurt twice if it was this game and you didn’t play there either. It was a personal bet and I think I succeeded.”
