European foreign ministers will discuss the transfer to Russia on Monday Iranian drones and may result in political agreement on further sanctions in relation to such activities, two diplomats said on Friday.
Ukraine indicated that it has accepted wave of Iranian Shahed-136 drone attacks in recent weeks. Iran denies supplying Russia with drones, while the Kremlin has not commented on the matter.

Three drones operated by Russian forces attacked the small town of Makarif, west of Kiev, early Thursday, with city officials saying critical infrastructure facilities were hit by Iranian-made “suicide drones.” . According to diplomats calling for preparatory meetings ahead of Monday’s meeting of foreign ministers in Luxembourg, an analysis of drone activity has been made with the issue now on the agenda.
Diplomats said that while an agreement on new sanctions lists was unlikely on Monday, there may be a political agreement that will prepare the ground for the imposition of sanctions at a later stage.
