“I met him in high school. We quickly became friends and musicians. Andrew Paul Woolfolk was his name. We just lost him after a six-year battle with illness. He went on to eternity, from world of the dying to the world of the living,” said Philip Bailey on the social network.

“I have great memories of him. He had great talent. He was funny. He had a competitive spirit and a lot of repartee. And he was a man with a lot of style. You see each other side, my friend,” he added.
Andrew Woolfolk joined Earth, Wind & Fire in 1972, before leaving the group for the first time in 1985, then returning to it between 1987 and 1993.
Andrew Woolfolk participated in the golden age of the group, which composed in the 1970s and 1980s its greatest hits, from Shining Star (1975) to Let’s Groove (1981), via fantasy (1978), september (1978) and boogie wonderland (1979).
