Flexible armored vehicles are the new trend appearing on the battlefields. And what better than such a monster with the seal of Toyota!
The war in Ukraine and the widespread use of drones highlighted the value of more flexible ground units, with small vehicles that can move and change positions quickly, without becoming targets of drones.
In this context, another vehicle of this type appears. Unveiled at a Defense exhibition in South Africa, it is called the SVI Engineering MAX 3.
It is based on the oldwhich was introduced in 1984 and is still in production, and indeed with huge demand.
Its transformation into the military vehicle we see in the photos and video required the integration of a third axle, now having six wheels, with the last two having disc brakes for even better braking of the heavy vehicle.
The body is reinforced by steel plates which can survive an attack with weapons or grenades. The armor can be made even stronger to withstand RPGs as well. Changes have also been made to the suspension and anti-roll bars to handle the increased weight of the vehicle.
The engine is the 4.5 liter V8 turbodiesel capable of moving a 5.5 tonne body with relative comfort. At the rear of the vehicle there is a radar and a grenade launcher through which the armoredit can identify and destroy an enemy drone.
An off road motorcycle is also carried in the back, which increases the crew’s possibilities of action even in places that the car cannot reach due to volume and weight.
Anyway, the armored oneit looks well thought out and neat enough to be up to the task. And with her name in its identity, it will surely be an invulnerable machine for a modern battlefield where these vehicles will be the new trend of war.
