Louis Leterrier, director of “Transporteur” and “Loin du Périph” with Omar Sy, has been chosen to direct the next installment of the Vin Diesel franchise.
A week after director Justin Lin’s surprise departure from FastXhis replacement has already been found in the person of Frenchman Louis Leterrier, announce the American media.
The director, known to have already signed The Transporter 2 with Jason Statham, Danny the Dog with Jet Li and Elusive with Jesse Eisenberg, was chosen urgently by Universal to carry out the tenth installment of Fast and Furiouswhose eventful production proved to be very costly for the American studio.
After the failure of the schoolboy comedy Grimsby: Agent Too Special with Sacha Baron Cohen, Louis Leterrier devoted himself to television. He directed two successful series for Netflix, Dark Crystal: Time of Resistance and especially Lupine, with Omar Sy. He is in command of Far from the ring roadaction comedy with Omar Sy and Laurent Lafitte to discover on the streaming platform from this Friday, May 6.

Justin Lin had to direct FastX, but left the project abruptly a week into filming. We still do not know the synopsis of this tenth episode, which is scheduled for release in May 2023.

Started in 2001, the franchise Fast and Furious will end with a finale in two films, bringing the number of parts of the saga to eleven. Very popular, it inspired a spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw which met with great success in 2019.
