Finally, famous stylist and producer, Tom Ford has come up with some harsh criticism and words for the ‘Met Gala’. “It’s turned into a costume party,” Ford told former New York Magazine editor Amy Odell in an excerpt from her forthcoming book, Anna: The Biography, published by Time.
Once upon a time there were very elegant people wearing very beautiful clothes going to an 18th century exhibition. You did not have to look like in the 18th century, you did not have to dress like a hamburger, you did not have to arrive in a van where you were standing because you could not sit down after wearing a chandelier.
Recall, that a few months ago Tom Ford lost his husband, Richard Buckley. He has stated what hardship he has faced being a single father to his son Jack Rich. The stylist in a recent interview, said that:
It has been difficult after 35 years, very difficult. I keep thinking, “Oh my God, should I call Richard or send him a note about this?” And he is not here. Until recently, Richard was there to help me in the morning.
Most recently, Ford and Buckley lived on a property in Los Angeles’ Holmby Hills neighborhood, where Richard also closed his eyes forever after buying the house for $ 38.75 million in 2016. The home features 9 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a library, a room outdoor, a swimming pool, tennis court and a rose garden.
Their empire was worth $ 122 million. The couple owned properties in New York, London, Los Angeles and Ford’s hometown, Santa Fe.
